The Jadco Time story is a great example of a family business. One where a simple idea 60 years ago has lead three generations to specialize in supplying unique clocks and timers to Australia and New Zealand.
OUR HISTORY
Jadco is an abbreviation of J. A. Davey and Company, set up by John Davey in the years preceeding World War II. John rightly identified a need for small household clocks for the flourishing Australian population of the 50's and 60's. His search for new products took him to many countries including Japan, where in 1965 along with his nephew Malcolm Chestney, he spotted a Copal flip-card clock - one of the first to use the new form of digital flip-card technology. Seeing the potential for use in Australian homes and businesses he began importing them – over 40 years on, Jadco Time continues to do so.
JADCO TODAY
Today the product range still includes the ubiquitious flip-card clock, but extends to cover almost any specialist timing requirement.
Now Malcolm's son Geoff Chestney heads the company with his wife Deidre. Together they continue to supply the hard-to-find clocks and timers their customers need, sourcing products through what is now a unique network of suppliers from around the world.
With over 60 years and three generations of involvement, Jadco Time has built a solid reputation for quality products and honest, reliable service. Just what you'd expect from a true family business.

Because Jadco Time is a specialist business that supplies customers across Australia and New Zealand, it is not possible to have a physical store. This website has been designed to show all the Jadco products as clearly as possible with downloadable fact sheets and "life-size" printouts that enable you to see how the products will look in your environment before you buy.
